Wine Review - 2009 Barossa Valley Estates E Minor Shiraz

This is probably the best smelling wine we have had in a long time. It smells awesome. It is a perfectly balanced nose of fruit, oak, and spice. Delicious. Then you drink it and it tastes almost as good.
We love the perfect balance in the wine and the soft tannins with sour cherry and dark fruit notes. So good and for the money a strong value. Another wine that tastes like a $30 wine. Very nice.
Tasting Notes: | Score: | |
Sight (0-5) | Medium Dark Wine with some thickness | 4.0 |
Smell (0-5) | Fantastic nose perfectly balanced dark fruit and oak | 4.75 |
Taste (0-10) | Well balanced Round wine, with medium body and soft tannins. | 8.5 |
Total: | 17.25 / 20 (86.25%) |
This wine we found at our local Liquor Commission so I would expect it to be fairly widely available. It is totally worth a try.
Keep on drinking!
